NASF has established a process to help committees define, track, and report goals & accomplishments consistent with the NASF Strategic Plan. Work Plans are developed in the fall, between the NASF Annual Meeting and the December Executive Committee meeting. Annual Accomplishment Reports, are submitted to the Executive Director by August 1 for inclusion in the NASF Annual Report and Executive Committee review prior to the Annual Meeting.

The template below includes all Program Goals and objectives from the approved NASF Strategic Plan and is designed to streamline the process of connecting committee work to NASF’s strategic objectives. Not all objectives will be relevant to your committee.

1. In the fall, insert specific committee activities and goals for the coming year under the most relevant Strategic Plan objectives, listing them as Task 1, Task 2, etc. Do not feel compelled to have a committee goal for each and every objective – delete those that do not have relevant committee activities beneath them. 2. Forward the completed Work Plans to the Executive Director by November 30 for Executive Committee review and approval at the December meeting. 3. Use the Work Plan as a working document throughout the year by inserting accomplishments under committee goals – this will result in a complete Accomplishments Report at the end of the year. 4. Forward significant committee accomplishments to the Executive Director throughout the year for communication to members in Member Updates and partners in the weekly newsletter. 5. In the summer, compile all accomplishments, change the header and file name from “WORK PLAN” to “ACCOMPLISHMENTS REPORT” and submit to the Executive Director by August 1.
