Minutes of the Aviary Group Meeting held Friday 9th March 2012

1.0 SCHOOL DISCO’S Dates proposed for school disco’s were: Friday 20th April – KS1: 5-6.30pm & KS2: 6.30-8.00pm (Y3 can go to either) Friday 20th July – KS1: 5-6.30pm & Y4,5: 6.30-8.00pm (Leavers Ball for Y6: 8-9.00pm) Friday 26th October - KS1: 5-6.30pm & KS2: 6.30-8.00pm (Y3 can go to either) Brenda to contact Disco to see if they are available on the dates above. ACTION: Brenda
2.0 DONKEY DERBY – Saturday 7 th July Huge Tadley community event, similar to circus last year Will need PTA members to be available on the day to look after the donkeys, tote’s etc (refreshments are being provided by someone else) We need 10-15 riders, under 8 stone. Open 10am-5pm, Races start at 2pm Donkey Sponsors: £25 for a named donkey, £250 for a named race More information to follow
Because we are not holding a Summer Fair this year, we still need to run some events to bring some money into the Aviary Group – it was therefore decided to try 2 new events – A Pamper Evening and A Fashion Show – more details below.
3.0 PAMPER EVENING – Thursday 3 rd May (date to be confirmed) It was decided to try an Adults Only Pamper Evening. 6pm start, last entrance at 8pm Tickets brought in advance: £2.50, tickets brought on the day £3.00 This would include 1 glass of wine and refreshments. More wine etc can be brought throughout the evening. Suggestions for stall holders which need contacting: Indian Head Massage, Waxing, Make Over, Spray Tans, Facials, Manicure, Jewellery, Candles, Hand Bags, Chocolates Charge £25 per stall holder – they can then charge prices for each of their treatments. Raffle can be arranged Charlotte to arrange licence once date has been confirmed. ACTION: Charlotte
4.0 FASHION SHOW – Wednesday 30 th May A company comes into school and will require children and adult models to walk the catwalk! Parents then have the opportunity to purchase clothes at ½ price from retailers such as Next, BHS, Monsoon, M&S The company then gives us a % of their takings, Raffle will be arranged Charge a small entrance fee Charlotte to contact company to see if they are available on Wednesday 30th May ACTION: Charlotte
5.0 OTHER DATES FOR YOUR DIARIES! Christmas Fair - Friday 7th December
Next AGM for PTA Group – Thursday 22 nd March 3pm – need as many PTA members as possible to attend – thank you!
