Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched an ambition Satellite Communication Network using Ku-band transponder of INSAT3B.The Satellite Based Communication Network is being used for Distance Education, HRD, Telemedicine, Agricultural Extension, e – Governance. The Project is operational since March 2001 and the APNET infrastructure is a fusion of the latest technologies to include TDM/TDMA Data Network, Video DVB/MPEG-2 Broadcasting, IP over DVB, Video Conferencing & Telemedicine. The Earth Station and the state of the art studio are located at Dr.BRAOU Campus,Hyderabad.Presently 4 channels are being broadcast under ‘Mana TV’.A society for managing APNET (SAPNET) was formed in 2003 for day to day operations. SAPNET now invites application from qualified and experienced candidates for the following post on contract basis for a period of 3 years.

CEO, SAPNET:-Desired Qualifications:  Should be a post-graduate in management or Degree in Engineering.  Should have at least 5 years experience in Managing Satellite Broadcast Channels & Studio as Head of the Operations and Educational content generation for Satellite based Broadcast of Educational Programmes.  Should have good communication.  Should be less than 60 years of age as on November 1, 2013.

Remuneration: Rs.9.00 Lakhs per annum.
