The position is offered as a part time (0.8 FTE) fixed term contract (parental leave cover) to 30 June 2018, with the possibility of extension if funding allows. The role is based at the Dandenong and Pakenham sites.

The key purpose of the position is to reduce AOD related harms to individuals and their families by conducting assessments and providing a range of counselling interventions to assist clients to change harmful behaviours.

A day in the life of this position includes: providing client assessments and brief interventions, progressing client treatment plans and making relevant referrals, liaising with other services to support the provision of recovery and harm reduction treatment, and completing case notes and other client documentation.
