Renton to Parksville BC Comments  Parksville is on Vancouver Island  May is the “shoulder” tourism season, and could be quite nice, or cloudy, windy and rainy  Driving northbound from Renton to the border is quite difficult on Friday evenings  We have all weekend to get there

Transportation Options  Kenmore Air Seaplane from downtown Seattle or northern suburbs (Kenmore) to Nanaimo, BC. Hotel Shuttle to airport www.kenmoreair.com o Approximately $450 o Strict baggage limitation of 24 lbs. o Free parking at Kenmore o 2 flights daily o 1-1/4 hour flight o Shuttle to SEA available o As much fun as it sounds

 Washington State Ferry o Drive from Renton to Anacortes (90 miles) o Take Washington State Ferry to Sidney, BC www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries o Winds through beautiful San Juan Islands. o 1 – 2 hour crossing Mostly protected waters o Summer schedule not set yet, but twice a day frequency o About $50 for 1 car plus 1 person. $15 per extra person (each way) o Drive from Sidney, BC to Parksville (103 miles)

 Washington State Ferry/Coho Ferry o Drive from Renton to Edmonds, WA ( 30 miles) o Washington State Ferry to Kingston, WA ( hourly departures, 30 minute trip) www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries o About $15 for 1 car plus 1 person. $5.00 per extra person o Drive from Kingston to Port Angeles (61 miles) o M.V. Coho ferry to Victoria, BC o 3 daily sailings o 90 minute crossing Mostly open waters o About $50 for 1 car plus 1 person. Extra persons $13.50 o Drive from Victoria to Parksville ( 91 miles )
