2008 KS1 Y1 CHRISTMAS THE CHRISTIAN FESTIVAL INTRODUCTION: This unit introduces pupils to Christmas as a Christian festival when Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus by telling and performing the Nativity story. Vocabulary taught: Christmas, Christian festival,Religion, Nativity story, Old Testament, New Testament. Pupils need some prior knowledge of the following concepts: specialness, celebration, festival, Christian, Bible.
