Notice of Divorce Hearing

NOTICE OF DIVORCE HEARING

Please read carefully:

All uncontested divorces shall be set by this notice.

Divorces with attorneys will be heard at 10:00 a.m. on FRIDAYS in Courtroom 9-B.

Divorces without attorneys will be heard at 9:00 a.m. on FRIDAYS in Courtroom 9- B.

All information on this sheet MUST be complete.

NOTICE: Follow the instructions below carefully:

You will receive a small white card from the Clerk of Superior Court telling you what date the summons was served. Please count 30 days from the day after the summons was served. The first FRIDAY after the 30 days has expired is the day you may set as your court date. (NOTE: If the 30th day lands on a holiday your divorce will automatically be bumped to the following Friday.) Write the date in Blank #7 and mail the notice to: Domestic Court, Wake County Courthouse, P.O. Box 351, Raleigh, NC 27602. Also mail a copy to the opposing side.

On the date designated in Blank #7, come to Courtroom 9-B and have a seat. The cases will be called in numerical order. Please bring with you THREE copies of the Divorce Judgment and one copy of the Certificate of Absolute Divorce. Please fill out the Certificate in Black Ink.
