Friday Hagley Park - 4pm start ***JUMP FOR CANCER*** Entries limited – if over subscribed, entries will be balloted. Riders will be required to supply a profile for the announcer. Due to a limited number of trucks able to park on site, horses and ponies will need to be transported into Hagley in shared trucks. Due to H&S, all trucks, horses and ponies will be required to remain on site until the completion of the event. Catalogue order.

Show Hunter Classes 2017 - Canterbury Championship Show
Show Hunter classes run under ESNZ Show Hunter Rules 2016, & SHNZ Equitation Series Conditions 2016 All riders jumping above 80cm must be members of ESNZ Riders jumping 80cm or below may enter on a community membership All horses/ponies may start in any class under the “flexi-start” system with the exception of Series Classes where horses/ponies must hold an annual jumping start registration Horses with an annual start registration will gain HoYQ points in classes designated HoYQ Rising Star Division and Young Horse Division: o Run over three shows – Labour Weekend, Xmas Cracker and Canterbury Champs. o Three classes qualify per show – under saddle and two jumping classes o Makerikeri Silviculture Ltd and Robyn and Paul Woods sponsor a rug and sash to winners of these points prizes Amateur Championship: o Run over three shows – Labour Weekend, Xmas Cracker and Canterbury Champs. o Makerikeri Silviculture Ltd and Robyn and Paul Woods sponsor a rug and sash to winners of this points prize Pony rider in their first season division: o Run over three shows -- Labour Weekend, Xmas Cracker and Canterbury Champs. o Points from the highlighted classes will be allocated – one under saddle and two jumping classes o Sashes to 5th sponsored by K&L Contracting Ltd and Lucy and Kerry Maley Pony Points Prize o Run over three shows – Labour Weekend, Xmas Cracker and Canterbury Champs. o Points from two qualifying classes per show to count in the correct category for the pony o Makerikeri Silviculture Ltd and Robyn and Paul Woods sponsor a Trophy and rug to the winner and sashes to 1st to 6th Children’s Equitation Trophy – Sandpit Trophy donated by L Maley, D Scott and R Woods o Awarded to the rider with the most points in Equitation Classes over the three Canterbury Shows The Irish Horse Society will award a sash to the highest placed Irish bred horse at this show. Irish horse owners must put their Irish Horse Society Registration number on their entry form. In the event of equality of points, the sash will go to the Irish horse with the best score. There will be a points prize for the horse with the most points from the two Ashburton shows and the three Canterbury shows in the Junior Equitation Division Pony Breeders Society will award a sash for the pony registered with the Pony Breeders Society competing in show hunter classes at Canterbury Champs. This will be awarded to the pony with the most points from placings in open (HoYQ) classes over the two days. Registration numbers must be stated on entry form.

SHOW CONDITIONS Run under ESNZ rules and Show Jumping New Zealand Rules, for Series conditions Refer to Annex 11 (SJ Rule Book). Prizes & Conditions for all South Island Series will be on the Canterbury Show Jumping website www.showjumpingcanterbury.webs.com Competitors and spectators attending this competition do so at their own risk. Show Jumping Canterbury and the organiser’s disclaim any and all liability in the event of accident to riders, horses, spectators or property. All injuries and accidents anywhere on the grounds must be reported to the office. Dress code: Formal required in R1 & R2, Minimum in R3 The Committee reserves the right to alter, amend or delete any class or prize money. Prize money will be paid out on a ratio of 1:7 Manual entries must be made on official ESNZ entry forms and include horse & rider registration numbers. Riders may compete in Introductory classes on a free Community Membership, but must still pay the ESNZ Jumping Levies per horse Please refer to the “Registration guide” on the CSJ website for more information (schedules tab) A fee of $2 per class will be made for class changes Late entries: Plus 50%. No refunds payable for entries received after closing date of entries. Scratchings: to be advised by 8am each day for that day’s competition. Refunds less 20% per horse/pony upon presentation of medical / veterinary certificate or at the discretion of the organising committee. Hacks / Ponies may start in only ONE Championship class or Mini Prix or Grand Prix. DOGS ON LEASHES AT ALL TIMES The Show Jumping Canterbury Committee reserves the right to refuse or cancel any entry Coffee cart & food will be available on the grounds. By entering or attending you accept that you may appear within differing media streams that are on location covering the event. Your behaviour at the event and within the competition arena is at your discretion and is your responsibility. Please note that there might be live streaming at the event therefore the camera is on throughout the day It is the rider’s responsibility to clean up all hay and manure from their yards/covered yards/stables as well as from around their float/truck, which is to be placed in designated areas NOT around trees. Any holes dug by horses MUST also be filled in. If a stable/covered yard is not sufficiently cleaned out you will not be able to use one at our next show and you will receive a $25 fine.
There is a new EVENT WAIVER FORM, this can be found on our website. Manual entries must print, sign and send in with their entries. Online entries will have a ‘tick box’ to select before entries can be completed.
CANTERBURY RIDERS MUST ‘ENTER’ A HELPERS JOB ‘CLASS’ IN THE HELPERS SECTION WHEN ENTERING ONLINE Those entering via post can find the helpers form under the “Canterbury Riders” section of the website and send to our secretary, details below or email our secretary your preferred job. If help is not offered towards running this show, your entries will be DECLINED. There will be a sign in and out procedure for all jobs. $80 fine for those who do not complete their job.

If you have entered but have not paid your entry fees by closing date 50% will be added. • Please provide bank account name and number for direct credit of prize money and refunds over $100
