REGULAR BUSINESS New Concession Stand info: Doug & Lisa both had comments and complaints after the first night of business. Understandably, it was very busy being first game in a “new” stadium, plus first game following such a successful previous year! However, it was very congested at times—sometimes 8-9 deep in all the windows waiting to be served. Would like to have more cashboxes to work from rather than aprons on each worker. Approved to purchase 3 new cashboxes (one for each operating window). Also sodas were not cold after the first large wave of customers before game ever started. We have 2 large coolers that can be loaded up with soda/ice before contests and used as replacements to get sodas colder quicker if need be in future. Doug will bring coolers to stadium. -Agreed to allow the Post-prom group to work concession stand for Electric Light concert on Saturday, Oct 11 (selling drinks & packaged items only. No machines.) as they lost a JV game due to stadium not finished yet. Proceeds to benefit post-prom event in spring. -Knights of Columbus to work concession stand during Oct. 3 game; Lions Club to work game Oct 17. -STUDENTS OF THE MONTH nomination forms were explained/sent out to all teachers this week. Awards will include $25 credit to students that can be used in either cafeteria or Cat’s Alley, plus the sponsor or coach nominating would receive additional $25 in their grant accounts. -Request for funds for cheerleading squads by Mary Bradbury for spirit flags. Approximately $300 approved/final amount probably less. Flags will be ordered soon. -Flexible banner sign for inside of concession stands purchased that will allow names of organizations to advertise themselves to customers. $15 per set. -Parent/Teacher conferences are coming next week. We would like to offer the staff treats on Friday, September 26. Asking that our members bring items either on Thursday afternoon or Friday morning by 7:30 a.m. Some examples in the past have been juice boxes, Lil Debbies, cookies, donuts, etc. etc. Be creative. Coordinator for this will be Kristin Wertz. Please look for and hand off treats to her. Our staff work very hard for us these days—let’s show how much we appreciate their efforts running LHS so smoothly! -NEXT meeting will be Wednesday, October 15, at 5:30.

Meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
