The Beckman Coulter, Inc. contract for laboratory equipment systems is a comprehensive full service maintenance and repair type of contract. This means that for one price, paid at the end of each quarter, the contract will cover all the service needs of an instrument system, no matter how catastrophic or expensive services may become. This type of contract allows the NIH to more accurately project our spending, which is a great help in preparing budgets.

Not all Beckman Coulter, Inc. manufactured instruments are covered by the contract. The contract does not include both extremely old instruments as well as those that have proven to not require full service maintenance.

Packing an instrument system up to be shipped is included under this contract at no additional cost.

Please note that this is a requirements type contract. As such, all NIH requirements for full service maintenance and repair of appropriate Beckman Coulter, Inc. laboratory equipment systems shall use this contract.
