Below is a list of agencies that you may want to consider contacting for your SOWK 315 Junior Field Experience. The agencies are divided into categories of populations served/type of agencies. This list was developed to make your SOWK 315 placement process easier. To contact these agencies, you will need to go to the agency websites to get contact information and to learn more about the agencies on this list. Please make sure you have a good understanding of the services the agency provides before you contact them.

This is a list of agencies that have provided SOWK 315 field experience opportunities to students in the Mankato and surrounding communities. If you commute to MSU, M and are planning to complete your SOWK 315 field experience in your home community, discuss your options with the Junior Field Coordinator before contacting agencies. If you have questions or need guidance in this placement process, please contact the Junior Field Coordinator for more information.

Agencies, listed below, may be considered after discussion with Junior Field Faculty Coordinator. Students who are interested in considering one or more of these agencies MUST meet with the Junior Field Coordinator assigned to their semester BEFORE contacting these agencies.

Some of these agencies are primarily used for SOWK 450/455 Senior Field Practicum. However, if no senior student is being placed in these agencies, we may be able to consider. Your Junior Field Faculty will consult with the Senior Practicum Coordinators as needed.
