Choose a preferred design from those below. These designs are offered as guidelines and in most cases our designers will make changes and alterations to suit your site’s overall requirements.

Once you have selected your preferred design from either the vertical or horizontal sections, select it using the button beneath and continue to the next stage.

Section 3: Upload Your Company Logo

Your company logo can usually be placed in a prominent and consistent position on each page of your site.

You can upload your logo in .gif or .jpg format (these are the only formats that web browsers like Internet Explorer will recognise).

As long as you have access to your images you can simply insert them directly into this document in the same way you would add an attachment to email by following these instructions:

- Place your cursor in the box below (by clicking in it) - On the top menu of Microsoft Word select, Insert then Picture then From File - Go to the folder with your image and select the required image - The image will appear on the page - Our designers will resize your image if required

Now you’ll need to choose the pages you want on your new site. Every site needs to have a homepage, this will be the front-door to your site, but beyond that you can specify exactly what type of pages you want and what sort of content you want on them. Note this is for the none catalogue pages of your site i.e Home About Us etc.

You will be asked to specify the title of your pages, add copy and upload images. We’ve specified some suggested titles for the sections (and even some suggested copy) but if you want to rename any of the page titles you can easily do so:

Homepage

On this home page, you should introduce your business and highlight important areas on your site.

You could use this site to provide the background for our business and explain the goods or services you have to offer. People don't want to spend time figuring out what a business does, so your home page should highlight the most important features of both your business and your web site.

Note: our designers will format your copy and images in a way that they feel works best for your chosen design. If you have specific instructions, i.e you want links to other pages or webpages, or want to specifiy certain sections should be a bigger typeface or in bold type, please add these instructions into your copy in brackets (instruction: ).

This information will be used by search engines to describe and categorise your website.

Browser Page Title: 60 character limit.

Description: 200 character limit. Some search engines use the description in the search engine results.

Keyword Meta Tag: 200 character limit. Separate keywords by a comma. Example: web design, animation, design, create, Cardiff, Wales. Some search engines will categorise your website by the contents of these fields.

You will also need to think about the number of departments and the names you would like for these departments.

Your requirements will be sent directly to our design team who will go through your submission and email back within 2 working days confirming your order and quoting a price for the work (this is largely dependent on the number of pages you have opted for or any special instructions).

Our designers may also contact you by phone to discuss your requirements in a little more detail if needed, this call should take little more than 5 minutes.

Within 5 working days of you confirming your order via email the BT Business design team will send you a web address so you can take a first look at your new site. You’ll then have an opportunity to email back to make any slight changes you want before we publish your site and you’re open for business!
