We are happy to announce that the fourteenth annual meeting of the Working Group for Myocardial and Pericardial diseases, will take place for the first time in Scandinavia at Hotel Nyborg Strand Conference Centre, Denmark, 26-28 October 2017. It is an official event of the European Society of Cardiology, ESC, and is expected to be attended by 3-500 cardiologists from all over Europe.

It is the mission of ESC to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease in Europe. The specific aim of this meeting is to communicate progress in theoretical knowledge and practical management of myocardial and pericardial diseases to colleagues in cardiology. Most of these conditions require a careful diagnostic work-up including advanced imaging modalities and invasive investigations. A significant number of patients present with heart failure and arrhythmias with a need of many different treatment modalities including medical treatment, pacemaker therapy (CRT, ICD), ablation for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, and mechanical support for advanced heart failure.

The meeting lasts for three days and is divided in two parts.

The first day is dedicated to educational workshops with a focus on genetics, imaging modalities including MRI, echocardiography and CT-scan, in addition to diagnosis and management of myocardial and pericardial diseases.

The remaining two days will have a focus on specific topics, including novel algorithms for medical heart failure therapy, mechanical support of advanced heart failure, implantable devices for management of arrhythmia and resynchronization therapy, rare myocardial conditions including Anderson-Fabry disease and amyloidosis, genetics in hereditary cardiac conditions, sports-medicine and prevention of sudden cardiac death.

Furthermore, there will be a special focus on posters presentations of novel scientific achievements by young cardiologists and scientists including an award for best scientific presentation.

The majority of speakers will be internationally recognised experts in myocardial and pericardial diseases.

Exhibition

The congress and exhibition will take place at Nyborg Strand Hotel. All catering breaks will take place within the exhibition area.

Prices Price per square metre: € 600 excl. VAT. The minimum stand size is 6 square meters and the minimum rental fee is € 3.600 excl. VAT. Nearly all sizes can be accommodated, recommended size 4x2 m.

The fee for exhibition opportunities will be subject to the reverse charge mechanism when supplied to taxable companies established in the EU in accordance with art 44 EC VAT Directive applicable as of January 2011. Invoices will be issued without VAT and the company VAT number must be noted on the invoice. The fee will be subject to Danish VAT for taxable persons and companies established in Denmark and countries outside the EU.

The stand rental includes:  Floor space  Electricity  1 Exhibitor Badge per 4m2  Organisation name and logo printed in the Final Programme  Organisation name on the congress website

We reserve the right to increase the stand rent insofar as, and to the extent to which taxes, VAT or other charges (including purchase tax or the like) according to law is imposed on exhibition material and/or stand rental.

The Exhibition is being sold as floor space only. If you require any additional exhibition items (furniture, light, audio-visuals, flowers etc.) please refer to the Exhibitors’ Manual.

Additional Exhibitor registrations can be purchased for € 300.

Allocation of exhibition space Space allocation will be made on a first come first served basis. A completed exhibition booking form and contract should be returned to ensure reservation of a desired location. Upon receipt of the exhibition booking form and contract, space will be confirmed and an invoice e-mailed. Space allocations will be made in the order in which application forms with payment are received.
