WORK HISTORY

From January 2008 Set up own business, “Translation World” agency. Capable of providing translations to and from all world languages in the agency capacity, using a vast net of contacts. Also working as a free-lance Czech, Slovak and Icelandic translator and interpreter. May 2004 – December 2007 Moved back to Ireland, working as a free-lance translator and interpreter (Czech, Slovak & Icelandic), mostly for Global Translations Ltd. in Dublin; duties also included administrative work

2000 – May 2004 Moved to Iceland, worked as a translator for Global Translations Ltd. in Dublin (Czech, Slovak & Icelandic)

1987 – 2000 After arrival to Ireland: set up EEC Translation Agency (later re-named Global Translations Ltd.) in Dublin, translator for same (Czech & Slovak)

1984 – 1987 The Czechoslovak Radio Prague, translator from English & German

1979 – 1984 Theatre critic for the State Theatre in Brno, Czechoslovakia
