Wautoma Middle School Cross Country Invitational

Meet Date: Monday, September 19, 2016

Departure: Dismissed from classes @ 2:20 and bus leaves @ 2:30

Teams Competing: Adams-Friendship, Mauston, Nekoosa, St. Pats, Wautoma, Westfield, Weyauwega-Fremont, Wisconsin Dells

Location: Lake Lucerne Camp and Retreat Center. Directions are enclosed.

Race Schedule: 4:30 P.M.- Girls Race

5:00 P.M.- Boys Race

Race Line-up * Lane assignments could change based on numbers 1- Westfield 2- Wisconsin Dells 3- Mauston 4- Wautoma 5- Nekoosa 6- Adams-Friendship 7- St. Patricks 8- Weyauwega-Fremont

Meet procedure: Check your roster at the scoring table near the chute area. Changes may be made.

Course maps may be picked up at the scorer’s table.

Course description: The course is 3200 meters, consisting of dirt/sand roads, prairie, blacktop and 3 small hills. Spikes may be used, but there is about 200 meters of blacktop.

Parking: Busses should park by the starting area or along the main road into the facility. A person will direct you to parking. Spectator parking is sparse. There are a number of roads in the camp that may be used for parking or one may park along County YY.

From the West

Take WI 21 through Wautoma until you get to the intersection with WI 73 South. Turn right on WI 73. Drive until County YY. Take a left on County YY. (Be careful, not a great intersection.) Drive about ½ mile. The camp is on the left. Your buses will be directed to parking areas

From the East

Coming in on WI 21, you’ll drive through Redgranite, pass County S and Z, and pass a “Lake Alpine Park” sign. Drive one more mile from the sign and turn left onto 22nd Avenue. (A church is on the right at the intersection.) Drive 1.5 miles and cross County F. Travel one more mile to County YY. Turn right on County YY. Ride .9 of a mile, and the camp will be on the right.
