SOUTH EAST DISTT 23.10.2011 MAN HELD FOR MURDER OF WIFE With the arrest of Ashwani (26 years) s/o Uma Shankar r/o B-142, Sanjay Camp, Chankya Puri, New Delhi, South-East District Police have worked out a brutal murder case of a woman and also recovered the weapon of offence. Incident On 20th October, 2011, at 2.27 PM, an information was received that a lady has been murdered in House No. 250, Gali No. 3, Shakti Vihar, Delhi. This information was lodged in the Daily Diary and the police immediately rushed to the spot. The room was lying locked and after opening the same, dead body of a young lady was found lying on the floor in a pool of blood and her face was covered with a blood-soaked sheet. There were cut marks on her cheek and neck was slit with some sharp-edged weapon. There was no eye witness to the incident. A case vide FIR NO. 288/2011, dated 20.10.11, u/s 302 IPC was registered at PS Jait Pur and investigation was taken up Inspector (Inv.). Vipin Kumar. Investigation Initially, the identity of the victim was not known and the same was established through a painstaking process. Several teams were formed under the supervision of Shri Surender Yadav, SHO/Jait Pur under the overall supervision of Shri Balkrishan Sharma, ACP/Sarita Vihar. Since the above phone number has led the police to Rohtak and the identity of the victim was established as Sheetal w/o Ashwani, search for Ashwani was taken up, who had gone into hiding. Finally, the efforts of the police teams bore fruit and the accused was arrested from Shri Ram Jhuggi Colony, Sataya Niketan, New Delhi. The accused disclosed during interrogation that the accused and the victim namely Sheetal came into contact about four years ago at Connaught Place and this contact developed into love affairs between the two. They got married in Kali Bari Mandir, Gole Market and started living at Sanjay Camp, Chankya Puri, New Delhi, and a son was born to this wedlock. However, accused Ashwani started suspecting his wife and warned her to refrain from such activities. In the meantime, the accused developed intimacy with another girl Neha and finally got married to her also. This has led to bickering with his earlier wedded wife i.e. Sheetal. In order to get rid of Sheetal, the accused shifted to Shakti Vihar with Neha and started living in a rented accommodation. Sheetal came to know about this address and she also started living at the given address for the last 10/12 days.He had introduced himself as Shiv Kumar to the caretaker of property from whom he had taken the house on rent. The day preceding the murder, there was a quarrel between the accused husband and his wife Sheetal and the accused made a plan to get rid of her once and for all. In the night he asked Neha to leave the house with his son Gaurav (2 years) and meet him near Meetha Pur Chowk. The accused strangulated the victim with a piece of nylon rope and thereafter slit her throat with a kitchen knife. After committing the crime, the accused closed the door and fled. The weapon of offence i.e. kitchen knife and keys of the room where the dead body was kept locked have also been recovered at the instance of the accused. GANG OF AUTO LIFTERS BUSTED : 3 ACCUSED ARRESTED AND TWELVE STOLEN MOTORCYCLES RECOVERED With the arrest of three accused namely Suraj Khan @ Shahid Khan S/o AdbulKalam, Ayub Khan S/o Allaudinand Imtiaz @ RajibSaikh S/o Sanaullah,all residents of North-Eastern States,the staff of PS VasantVihar, South District have busted a notorious interstate gang of autolifters / receivers and recovered 12 stolen motor cycles.

BRIEF FACTS :

In view of ongoing festive season and threat perception, several teams headed by Inspr. VedParkash, SHO/VasantVihar were constituted in the area of PS VasantVihar under the supervision of Sh. Mohammad Ali, ACP/VasantVihar and deployed at vulnerable points to prevent any untoward incident as well as briefed to gear up their resources to develop the intelligence about criminals. Besides, several pickets were also set up at identified locations to prevent the incidents of snatching / M.V. theft.

On 19.10.11, on secret information regarding movements of autolifters in Munirka area, a team comprising of SI SushilSanwaria, PSI RavinderDagar, PSI SanjeevLehri, HC Rajbir, HC Giri Raj, Ct. Karambir, Ct. ManojDahiya, Ct. Manoj, Ct. Kuldeep and Ct. Ajay laid a trap at Baba GangnathMandir, Munirka, New Delhi. At about 5.00 pm, the staff signaled a motor cycle (Make Yamaha) to stop for checking, but instead of stopping the bike, they accelerated the speed to escape from the spot. But the alert members of team compelled them to stop with the help of strong barricading and staff deployed at cut off point. On enquiry, they revealed their identity as Suraj Khan and Ayub Khan. During inspection of vehicle, it revealed that number plate of motor cycle was fake. On verification, the original Regn. No. of motor cycle was established as DL-3S BS-0937 and the same was found to be stolen from the area of Vasant Enclave, New Delhi and wanted in case FIR No. 282/11 dated 19/09/2011, u/s 379 IPC PS VasantVihar. Accordingly, both accused were arrested and further investigation taken up.

INTERROGATION :

On sustained interrogation, it revealed that both accused belong to North-Eastern States and are notorious auto lifters / receivers of stolen bikes, having previous criminal history of motor vehicle theft. They confessed their involvement in series of auto lifting in Delhi with their other associates. At their instance, 12 stolen motorcycles were recovered from different places. It also revealed that the accused used to dispose off the stolen motorcycles to North Eastern States through Rail Transport on fake RCs and Identity Proof to the Railway Department. On secret information, other accused Imtiaz S/o Sanaullah was arrested from Rama Market,VasantViharand recovered a stolen motorcycle No. DL-3S BF 8381 (Bajaj Platina) from his possession, which was stolen from the area of PS VasantVihar.

Further investigation of the case is being carried out. It has come to notice that accused persons have transported a large numbers of vehicles to North-Eastern stated by way of submitting false document (fake R/Cs, Identity Cards) with Indian Railway. The same aspect is being probed in depth.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:

1. Suraj Khan @ Shahi Khan S/o AdbulKalam, Aged 26 Years, R/o 33A, New Building, Kilokari, MaharniBagh, New Delhi Permanent Address Vil-Lilon, TurelAhanbi Dam, DisttDhaunbal, Lilong, Manipur did his graduation from Manipur. After that he got married with Akobi Begum and have three children. He came to Delhi around 3 years back with his family and stayed in Maharani Bagh area in Delhi and startedworking with Group-4 security as Security Guard. After sometimes he came in contact with Ayub Khan S/o Allauddin who also belongs to Manipur. Both of them started committing Auto theft in Delhi. Previously he is also involved in case FIR No. 7/10, dated 31/01/2010, u/s 379 IPC PS Safdarjung Enclave, where around 26 vehicles were recovered. He was also involved in flashing a forged Indian Air Force Identity Card and was arrested in PS KotlaMubarkpur on 25th January, in the current year. He is the self-styled commander of banned outfit, People For United Liberation Front, Manipur.

2. Ayub Khan S/o Allaudin, Aged-36 years R/o C/o Babu Khan, Kilokari, MaharniBagh, New Delhi Permanent Address Vil-Lilon, TurelAhanbi Dam, DisttDhaunbal, Lilong, Manipur did his graduation from Usmania University. He got married with Julekh and has four children. He frequently come to Delhi, in Delhi he came in contact with Suraj Khan who was living as his neibhour at his Delhi residence. Both of them started committing auto theft and selling them to North-Eastern States.

3. Imtiaz S/o Sanaulla, Aged-22 Years, R/o H. No. 77, VaniVihar, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi. Permanent Address Vil- Lilon, TurelAhanbi Dam, DisttDhaunbal, Lilong, Manipur. He studied upto 12th class at Manipur and came at Delhi in the year 2009 for search of job and stayed in Uttam Nagar area. He came in contact with Parvej who also belongs to North-East. He is also active member of Suraj Khan gang. Both of them start lifting vehicles in Delhi and after lifting the vehicles they sold the parts of the stolen vehicle in Trans Yamuna area.

With the arrest of accused Anwar Hussain@Hatela @ Jahangir (28 years) s/o Mohd. Ibrahim@Siraj r/o Gali No.4, K-Block, SangamVihar,Delhiand receiver of stolen property Manish Kumar Verma(34 years) s/o Vishnu DuttVerma r/o MohhallaShouddat, Gulawti, Bulanshehar, UP, staff of PS Mehrauli, South District have worked out 2 cases of house theft and recovered 7 stolen Laptops, 7 Cameras, 4 gold chains, 2 gold rings and 4 gold tops.

BRIEF FACTS :

A team consisting of Inspr.Dalip Kumar, ATO/Mehrauli , SI Parveen Kumar, SI Shiv Dev, HC Naresh 575/SD, HC RadheyShyam No. 106/SD and Const. Sodan No. 2944/SD, Const. Surender No. 702/SD was constituted under the supervision ofInspr. Pankaj Singh, SHO/Mehrauli and Sh. Rajender Singh, ACP/Mehraulito develop criminal intelligence and apprehend the criminals operating in the area.

On 16/10/11, on receipt of secret information, the team arrested accused Anwar Hathela from DDA Park, MaidanGarhi (opposite Main Gate IGNOU) u/s 103 DP Act and recovered a stolen Laptop from his possession. On interrogation, accuseddisclosed that he was released from jail around 6 months back. He along with his accomplicesAnwar r/o A-145, Amit Enclave, Qasimpur, Loni, Ghaziabad, UP andHabib r/o Bulanshahar, UP (presently staying inHapur, UP) had committed several house thefts/burglaries in Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi. He confessed his involvements in two cases of house thefts/burglary in the area of PS Mehrauli wherein case FIR No. 373/11 and 439/11 regarding thefts of electronic goods and jewelry were found to be registered. He further disclosed that he had disposed off the looted articles to one jeweller Manish at Gulawathi, Bulanshehar, UP. At the instance of accused receiver Manish was also arrested and stolen property / jewellery was recovered.

Anwar Hussain @ Hatela @ Jahangir (28 years) s/o Mohd. Ibrahim @ Siraj r/o Gali No. 4, K-Block, SangamVihar, Delhioriginally hails from Bangladesh. He came to India illegally around 20 years ago. He started living in Delhi and kept on shifting his residence to different parts of the country including UP, Rajasthan, Haryana and Banglore. He initially started committing burglaries/house thefts in different parts of the country. Initially, he wasarrested in Delhi in a case of house theft in the area of PS Kamla Market. Later, he constituted a gang comprisingMohd. Alamgir @ Dilawar s/o Abdul Hasim r/o A-554/2, BastiHazratNizamuddin, Delhi, Mohd.Arif s/o Late Mohd. Umar r/o Raje Masjid, Kachi Colony, PS Loni, District Ghaziabad, UP, Nannu s/o Late Abdul Mannan r/o H.No. 1800, Kala Mahal, ChandniMahal, Delhi andMohd. Altaf @ Mohd.Shamim s/o Mohd.Muslim r/o Jhuggi No. 540, Pahari No.2, Indra Camp, Tamoor Nagar, Delhi. He along with his accomplices committed various burglaries/robberies in Delhi and NCR.

On 20-06-11, accused Anwar Hussain @ Hathela along with his accomplices was planning to commit dacoity in the house of an old couple at SukhdevViharand they were apprehended by Special Staff of South East District. Anwar Hussain @ Hathela managed to escape at that time and his accomplices were apprehended by police and Ford Icon Car of accused Anwar Hathela was recovered along with some stolen property. Accused Anwar Hathelais fond of expensive Luxury Cars and used to procures them after he gets a good amount of the robbed / stolen booty. In the month of April 2006, Anwar Hathela along with his above accompliceshad also committed a robbery in B-Block of GK-1 wherein they had cut the grill and robbed an old couple at gun point. Accused Anwar Hathelawas declared Proclaimed Offender in the attempted dacoity case of PS NFC and is also wanted in the GK-1 robbery case. He is previously involved in the following criminal cases :

KIDNAPPED MINOR CHILD RECOVERED WITHIN 05 HOURS, THREE KIDNAPPERS ARRESTED

The officials of North District have arrested three real brothers namely Sarfraj Ali, Sartaz Ali and Gul Mohd., all residents of Village Kangar Baseda, PS Mandi Dhinora, District JP Nagar, UP, who had kidnapped one minor child namely Rajbir aged 04 years. The kidnapped child has been rescued from their possession within five hours.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

Shri Gaurav Bali s/o Sh. Kawal Kishan Bali r/o C-2/43/44, Malka Ganj, Delhi, who is running shop of auto parts, in the area of Sehgal Motor Markets, Kashmere Gate, Delhi reported that on 22.10.2011 at about 01:30 PM, when he was on way to Moti Bagh for business work, his father informed him that Rajbir is missing from house. Thereafter, complainant reached his house and made an enquiry in the locality regarding the whereabouts of his son Rajbir, but no clue was found. The matter was reported to police station Subzi Mandi and immediately a case vide FIR No. 207/11 dated 22.10.2011 u/s 363 IPC was registered at PS Subzi Mandi.

Keeping in view the gravity of the offence, a team consisting of SI Yogesh, SI Vinod Yadav, HC Sanjay, HC Khushal, HC Hari Om, Ct Manoj was constituted under the supervision of Insp Yashveer Singh and overall supervision of Sh. Budhi Prakash, ACP/Sadar Bazar.

INVESTIGATION

During investigation, list of the employees and other persons, who used to visit the house of the complainant, was collected from the complainant and enquiry regarding possibility of their involvement in the kidnapping was conducted. During this course, it came to notice that one carpenter namely Sarfraz, generally used to do work in the house of the complainant. It was further revealed that few days ago, a dispute over the payment of money had taken place. Efforts were made to contact him, but he was not found available. Moreover, his mobile phone was found switched off. Hence, suspicion was created and the team started raids at his all possible hideouts. Under pressure, he tried to mislead the police and contacted the complainant, stated that his mobile phone was switched off due to low battery and he is reaching complainant’s house. Sarfraz was apprehended by the team, when he reached the house of the complainant. He tried to mislead the police officials and stated that he is not connected with this matter. In view of the contradiction of statements, he was interrogated tactfully and on sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he had done work at the house of Gaurav Bali, but he was not ready to give the remaining payment of rupees 4,000/-. On this, he had taken away the minor child of the owner from his house and handed over to his brothers namely Sartaz and Gul Mohd. at the bus stand of Khajoori Khas. Sarfraz further stated that he is going to meet his owner, so that no suspicion could be created. Thereafter, on the instructions of police officials, Sarfraz contacted his brothers and asked them that he is also coming to Ghaziabad for further proceeding to their native village situated in J. P. Nagar, UP alongwith kidnapped child. But both brothers were changing their locations and were trying to ensure that no one is persuading his brother Sarfraz. Finally, at about 08:00 PM, both brothers were apprehended near Gagan Cinema, Nand Nagari, Delhi and the kidnapped minor child was rescued safely from their possession. They have also been arrested in this case.

TWO DESPERATE PICK-POCKETS ARRESTED : STOLEN ARTICLES RECOVERED

With the arrest of (1) Sunil aged 25 years s/o Dev Karan r/o Gali No. 10, Multani Dhanda, Nabi Karim, Delhi and (2) Veeru aged 26 years s/o Shyam Sunder r/o Multani Dhanda, Nabi Karim, Delhi, Central District police has solved a case of pick-pocketing which took place in a bus route No. 753 near Dispensary Bus Stand, DBG Road. The stolen mobile phone and wallet have been recovered.

INCIDENT

On 22.10.11, ASI Ashwini Kumar along with Ct. Anoop Singh of Police Station Nabi Karim was performing patrolling in the area. At about 8:40 PM, while they were present near Dispensary Bus Stand, DBG Road, they noticed that two persons were trying to escape from a bus route No. 753. With the help of public persons present in the bus, both of they were apprehended. On their search, a mobile phone and a wallet were recovered from them which they had stolen from the pockets of one Shri Shashi Kant r/o Amar Puri, Nabi Karim, Delhi. The recovered articles were identified by the complainant. Consequently, a case vide FIR No. 172/2011 was registered at PS Nabi Karim, Delhi.

INTERROGATION

The identity of the accused persons was revealed as Sunil and Veeru, both residents of Multani Dhanda, Nabi Karim, Delhi. They were subjected to sustained interrogation in which they disclosed that they are smack addict and in order to fulfill their needs, they used to commit pick-pocketing in crowded buses and on roads. In this incident, they had stolen the mobile phone and wallet of the complainant while he was getting down from the bus.

On verification of their previous record, it was learnt that accused Sunil is previously involved in 05 cases of thefts, arms act etc. of Police Station Nabi Kari and Mandir Marg. Accused Veeru is previously involved in two cases of theft and robbery of PS Nabi Karim.

RECOVERY

(1) One Mobile Phone make N-88 Ken XIN DA (Chinese) (2) One Wallet containing voter card, cash Rs. 70/- etc.
