Cultural Awareness Training

Are you a GP, nurse, practice staff or allied health professional looking to increase your knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their culture?

Could you or your practice benefit from PIP-IHI, PBS Co-payment measure and / or MBS item number information?

PNML’s Cultural Awareness Training package has been developed in collaboration with Ingrid Cummings CEO of Kart Koort Wiern, traditional custodian of Nyungar country.

The benefits of attending Cultural Awareness Training include:

 Begin to appreciate the cultural diversity of Indigenous Australians  Enhance your knowledge and skills necessary for effective communication  Recognise the link between the experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people since colonisation and their health circumstances today  Explain common access barriers to culturally and clinically appropriate health care experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people  Assists in building relationships between Indigenous and Non – Indigenous people.

The training package is contemporary and innovative and meetings the Practice Incentive Program – Indigenous Health Incentive
