[email protected] Phone: (604) 506-3048 Professional Experience Company: Unisys Poland Project: Development of Microsoft System Management Server (SMS) Customer: Parcel Distribution Company Duration: 6 months People involved: 2 Directly responsible for deployment of SMS (Microsoft System Management Server) for the national biggest parcel distribution company. Designed SMS structure and deployment plan and implemented the whole solution. 40 SMS servers were installed remotely as well as ca 1000 WinNT SMS clients (by login scripts). Prepared various software distributions (packages) for ~ 1000 client computers including Service Packs, Adobe Reader, MSI, Telnet, VNC and other applications. Web based interactive reports were generated (using Aelita software) for the company management (i.e. hardware inventory, software inventory). Using Microsoft Software Analyzer prepared easy readable reports for the management on Microsoft software licensed or not licensed. Wrote project documentation and finished successfully this project. Provided support for SMS relative problems for the client and Help Desk. Project: Development of Web based Application for Help Desk Customer: Unisys Help Desk People involved: 1 Developed web site for the Help Desk, to collect and maintain records of problem tickets from the clients. Records were stored in the MS-SQL2000 database. Solution included: security access on different levels, possibility to modify all or part of the information from the database, sending information by email from SQL server, full history of changes, approval of “change request” issue by appointed managers, predefined or custom reports from the database. Project: Windows NT management & support Customer: Parcel Distribution Company Duration: 30 months People involved: 11 Team leader and main contact person for the support program for the biggest parcel distribution company in Poland. As System Engineer, provided support to the live system and phone support for the users. Problems that were too complicated for the Help Desk were redirected to a first line support. Problems still too difficult to solve were redirected to me. Responsible for analysing dump memory files (“blue screen”) of Windows NT. My tasks ware to find a cause of the problem and fix it. Project: Windows NT design & implementation Customer: Deutsche Post Duration: 1 month People involved: 30 Contract position. As a member of the development team prepared the technical part of the installation, and configured operating system for 700 workstations and 63 WinNT servers. Installed OS for 15 servers and configured them, including 4 servers in the company headquarters’. Configuration included: RAID disk controller configuration, installation & configuration of the operating system, installation of the additional software, configuration of the network services i.e. WINS, configuration of the users accounts, shares, permissions etc. Made scripts that allow do this much faster than by manual GUI interactions. Responsible for preparing disk image for workstation to be automatically distributed to 700 workstations. Company: Municipal Management of City Cracow (MZBD) Project: Land Information System Customer: Municipal Office of Cracow Duration: 24 months, 1997-1998 People involved: 5 Leading technical manager for a project “Geographic Information System for Malopolska” At design stage of the project, responsible for the definition of logical system architecture, modules functionality and database logical design. At implementation stage – design and development of the technical database definition. Developed and implemented additional features using Perl and SQL. Responsible for completing this project successfully. I created technical solutions, delegated responsibility and monitored project progress. Soil maps where digitalized using Microstation and I/Geovec software. MGE Analyst software joined digital maps and relational database records. Additional merge and analysis of data were made. Map Finisher software was used to generate maps. Demographic maps were created using MGE Analyst software, which tied digital maps contained buildings’ addresses with The National Database of Population records.
