Transit Campaign Final Report

Transit Campaign Final Report Overview

At this time, we would like you to take a few minutes to respond to the following questions regarding Phase I of the work and provide us with a concise budget report on the sub-grant money provided to you by SGA. We appreciate any information and suggestions for improvement you can provide to us. We ask that you keep your report to no more than 4 pages. Please return this report no later than Friday, June 18 along with your final grant invoice. Again, thank you and please let Neha or Elisa know if you have questions.

Narrative Report

State: Organization(s) completing this report: Main contact person(s): Overall Process

Think back to the beginning of this process and your expectations at that time. Did the campaign assessment and planning process meet your expectations? Why or why not?

What worked well for you in terms of the process, the support provided by SGA and its consultants (research and polling), the phone calls and meetings (including the DC March 23rd meeting), etc? In terms of SGA’s support, what was the most useful? What was the least useful?

Were there unexpected challenges that turned up along the way (not including political challenges)? How did you deal with them?

What can SGA do to improve this process in the future?

Organizational Benefits

Did you hire staff or bring on expert consultants – if so who and how many? Did you redirect existing staff’s time toward this project – if so, roughly, how many people and how much time? What were the pros and cons of adding/redirecting staffing in terms of the quality of your deliverables? Was it enough, what would you do differently next time? How is your organization stronger internally as a result of this concentrated planning process? Did your group gain any new expertise/skills that you will be able to carry to other projects?

Were you able to expand your reach as an organization? Roughly, how many other groups did you involve? Were your relationships strengthened (or weakened) and how? How many new contacts did you build and which transit agencies/government officials did you engage? Regardless of whether the campaign gets fully funded, how will you leverage any new or strengthened relationships for your future work?

Discuss how you might be able to leverage all the work you produced for fundraising, either for the transit campaign or related projects.

Financial Report

Please provide a report of how the sub-grant money provided by SGA was used by your organization or campaign team. Include a budget chart and short narrative description discussing the amounts (rounded) you spent on various categories such as staffing, further sub-granting, consultants, research, polling, meetings, travel/food, overhead, etc.
