New KuStream™ 1500 Adds to TECOM’s SATCOM Antenna Systems for Ku Broadband In-flight Connectivity

THOUSAND OAKS, CA (November 17, 2010) --- TECOM Industries, Inc. announced the expansion of the Ku Band SATCOM Antenna System product line, with the addition of the KuStream™ 1500 for commercial, military and other fast-moving aircraft. The KuStream 1500 is the industry’s first low profile, aerodynamic antenna system designed to support high communication data rates for transmit and receive for military Ku band communications.

KuStream 1500 was recently selected by ViaSat (NASDAQ:VSAT) for integration into a communication system onboard a Boeing C-17 aircraft. ViaSat is providing the system to The United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) as part of their YONDER™ broadband data service.

The KuStream 1500 is a complete antenna system that includes satellite antenna assembly (SAA), antenna control unit (ACU), and a 40Watt high power transceiver (HPA).
