LEGISLATIVE CHAIR

1. The Legislative Chair monitors the legislative and regulatory actions of State government, relating items of importance to the membership, developing positions to support or oppose actions, and acting on behalf of the membership to positively influence actions that benefit the membership.

The Legislative Chair confers with the State President and the State Board prior to taking a position on behalf of the organization on a bill or regulation. Legislative information is distributed from the Legislative Chair to the First VP and/or Division First VP's.

2. The Legislative Chair tracks regulations and decisions promulgated by the State agencies, including:
