PLEDGE
The City Council meeting was opened with the pledge of allegiance led by Mayor Dearborn.
CALL TO ORDER
The regular meeting of City Council was called to order at 7:01 PM on November 14, 2011 by Mayor Dearborn.
ROLL CALL
The following Aldermen were present for Roll Call: Yeas - Alderman Bumbalough, Bradford, Salazar, Steele, and Bremer.
Also present were Mayor Dearborn, Treasurer Babb, and Deputy Clerk Haller Absent: Clerk Worent, Engineer Good, and Aldermen Robbins
PRESENTATION OF JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS
Alderman Bumbalough made a motion, seconded by Alderman Bradford, to approve the minutes of the Regular City Council meeting held on October 24, 2011. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Alderman Bumbalough, Bradford, Bremer, Salazar, and Steele. Nays - none. Motion passed.
CONFIRMATION AGENDA
1. Approval to pay Hoerr Construction for cleaning and camera the Kaskaskia break, $1050.
Alderman Bumbalough made a motion, seconded by Alderman Bradford, to approve the minutes of the Regular City Council meeting held on October 24, 2011. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Alderman Bumbalough, Bradford, Bremer, Salazar, and Steele. Nays - none. Motion passed.

There is a copy of the wheel tax ordinance in everyone’s box. Discussion about scooters Tabled for the Dec. committee meeting Clerk No report.
Treasurer No report.
Attorney
Tax Levy must be finalized before the last Tues. in December.
Discussion about alternate energy supply and the options.
City Engineer No report in his absence.
Communications
Deputy Clerk read a thank you card from Ron Babb and family.

Fire - Alderman Robbins
Fireman Christmas party is December 3. The banquet is in February.
Finance/Planning - Alderman Bremer Alderman Bremer made a motion, seconded by Alderman Bumbalough, to pay bills totaling: $56,022.68 from General Fund; $15,000.00 from Motor Fuel; $448,442.22 from Sewer; $23,135.22 from Water, $977.20 from Wheel Tax, $0 from Audit; and $194.25 from savings. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Alderman Bradford, Salazar, Steele, Bremer, and Bumbalough. Nays - none. Motion passed.

NEW BUSINESS
Approve reimbursement of Maria’s Insurance
Alderman Bumbalough made a motion, seconded by Alderman Bradford to approve reimbursement of Maria’s insurance for $312.00 beginning November 2011. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Alderman Bumbalough, Bremer, Salazar, Steele, and Bradford. Nays – none. Motion passed.
Approve up to $1500 for removal of 90ft cottonwood tree
Alderman Bumbalough made a motion, seconded by Alderman Bradford to approve payment of $800 to Gene’s Tree Removal to remove a limb off the cottonwood tree. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Alderman Bumbalough, Bremer, Salazar, Steele, and Bradford. Nays – none. Motion passed.
Approve the purchase of Christmas gifts for employees
Alderman Bremer made a motion, seconded by Alderman Steele to approve purchase of Christmas gift (turkeys) for the employees. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Alderman Bumbalough, Bremer, Salazar, Steele, and Bradford. Nays – none. Motion passed.
Approve transfer of $20,000 from Street Equip. Rental Savings to Water/Sewer
Alderman Bradford made a motion, seconded by Alderman Steele to approve the transfer of $20,000 from Street Equip. Rental Savings to Water/Sewer. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Alderman Bumbalough, Bremer, Salazar, Steele, and Bradford. Nays – none. Motion passed.
Approve Electrical work on panel for up to $1,000
Alderman Bumbalough made a motion, seconded by Alderman Bradford to approve electrical work on the main panel for up to $1000. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Alderman Bumbalough, Bremer, Salazar, Steele, and Bradford. Nays – none. Motion passed.
Approve Hepatitis vaccinations for 7 firefighters Alderman Bumbalough made a motion, seconded by Alderman Bradford to approve up to $1000 for hepatitis vaccinations for 7 firefighters. Roll Call Vote: Ayes – Alderman Bumbalough, Bremer, Salazar, Steele, and Bradford. Nays – none. Motion passed.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS PERTAINING TO THE CITY
Zoning board – Mayor and Rick attended. The county zoning granted the variance for the shed to be built as specified. It is very close to easement but not on the easement. Discussion regarding the property at 204 Sangamon and the proper way to handle the sale of it. Alderman Bradford made a motion, seconded by Alderman Salazar to adjourn the regular City Council meeting at 7:47 PM. Voice Vote: All Ayes. Motion passed.
