Grants to low income, under or uninsured patients for breast cancer for oral pain and anti-nausea medications, lymphadema support and supplies, and medical equipment.

The Patient Advocate Foundation 866-512-3861 or www.copays.org or [email protected] Helps mediate between patients and their employers, insurers, and creditors. The Co- Pay Relief Program helps breast, lung, and prostate cancer patients, or people with secondary problems from treatments, with costs of medications.

The Hill-Burton Act This federal legislation provides assistance to public and non-profit medical facilities. If a facility takes these funds, the facility is required to make emergency services available to everyone, even if a person cannot pay for services. Call 800-638-0742 for more information.

CancerEducation.com A web based resource with referrals to doctors and clinical trials connected to the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. This web site has education videos about treatments, possible side-effects, and ways to manage problems, and information about survivorship. There is also art and poetry by cancer survivors.
