DEFINE SPACES WITH FORBO’S NEW AWARD WINNING MARMOLEUM LINEAR COLLECTION

Forbo Flooring Systems’ new Marmoleum Linear sheet collection will allow end users and specifiers to define spaces through intriguing floor designs, by playing with texture, colour and installation directions.

Recently presented with the iF Design Award*, the collection has been designed to reflect the latest trends across the office, retail, leisure and hospitality sectors. Divided into three ranges; Striato Original, Textura and Colour, this collection is Marmoleum, but not as you know it.

Striato Original offers a natural, earthy colour palette that enhances the contemporary linear design that runs throughout the collection. With a total of 12 shades to choose from, ranging from warm tones to on-trend grey colours, each colourway will provide end users with a contemporary environment.

The Striato Textura range amplifies the linear design further, as it is embossed to create a more tactile and captivating aesthetic – complementing the shades of Striato Original. It is split into two textured designs: Flow, which has a wider and more abstract linear surface and Driftwood, which has a more subtle, harmonious ripple effect adding depth to the flooring visual.

For those wanting to inject colour into an interior, the Striato Colour range has four vibrant tones that have been developed to complement each other or to be used on there own, including peacock blue and sunshine yellow, as well as four neutral shades that have a flash of bright colour across them.

Julie Dempster, Marketing Manager at Forbo Flooring Systems, commented: “The beauty of the new Marmolem Linear collection lies in its ability to be used on its own to create great effects, or to be mixed and matched with colourways from our other solid and patterned ranges.

“For example, by playing with installation angles using a single colourway from the collection, it can produce a design that is as visually impactful as a chevron effect. While circular, triangular or even hexagonal shapes can be cut into the sheet product to create a quirky, boutique feel. What’s more, specifiers can continue the colour from the floor up a wall or furniture to enhance the interior design further or simply combine the new textures with smooth finishes to add an extra dimension.”

Marmoleum is the market’s wholly sustainable floor covering as it is made up of 97% natural raw materials, 72% rapidly renewable and 43% recycled content. The collection is also finished with Topshield2, which not only allows the floor to be ready for use immediately after installation, but it makes cleaning an easier regime for end users - which ultimately helps to reduce maintenance costs.

As a winner of this year’s iF Award, the collection will now be featured in the iF World Design Guide, the world’s largest design portal, and will be permanently presented in the Design Excellence collection in Hamburg.
