6. Approval of the minutes of the September meeting Approved by all

7. Matters from the September meeting Reimbursement of the Rome hotel fees for Paul A & Paul G. All matters are up to date.

8. Matters from the Skiers Meeting Shortening rope at 55kph: It was asked if + 35 skiers could be given the option to shorten the rope at 55kph. We discussed this and agreed that if this option is made available we should also take U14 skiers into account, and provide the same option. We will add this proposal to the IWWF agenda for 2011 as this would need to be changed at World level if it is introduced.

Clinic for Skiers: A request was made to have a clinic for advanced skiers and new competitive skiers. The Council like the idea and are currently trying to organise something for the beginning of the 2011 season.

The word ‘Disabled’: The Council discussed the possibility of replacing the word ‘Disabled’ when referring to our sport, however it was felt that the word ‘Disabled’ is an accurate representation of our sport, and there is no other that we could find that would work globally. Therefore nothing will change.

Factor: We discussed Claire Ellis’ and Daniele Cassioli’s proposal to look at changing the factors used for each category. The proposal to have a fixed high factor that does not change year on year. As much deliberation we could not find a fairer way than the one currently used, especially when performances improve within certain categories. This would also have to be agreed by the World Council. We will continue to investigate, as the Council are happy to look at all possibilities that provide a consistent fair system for all skiers.

1 or 3 Divisions for E&A Championships: Most of the skiers seemed to prefer the idea of 3 divisions, however we feel that we should evaluate the 2011 World Championships where they will use 3 divisions to see how it works. Especially as currently the World Council are looking to eventually move to 1 division. A final decision for the E&A Championships will be made at the November 2011 Council Meeting.

9. Calendar Evaluation of the 2010 EuroTour: There were 5 EuroTour stops, and a EuroTour Final. A total of 34 skiers competed at the various events. This is an increase on 2009, highlighting the success of the 2010 EuroTour.

Evaluation of the E&A Championships 2010: - Good organisation - DVD promotional video produced and broadcast on Italian national television - The schools were invited to come and watch the tournament which provided a great atmosphere - There were issues with the Internet connection on the tower. Fortunately we were still able to produce live results.
