SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS BEFORE COMPLETING THE ATTACHED APPLICATION FORM.

1. The Club will offer (4) $500.00 scholarships for the 2012-2013 academic school year, one of which is the Anna Britton Scholarship and the other three are BPW Scholarships. 2. The BPW Scholarships are available to all Darke County female high school senior of the 2013 graduating class, who are ranked in the upper one third of her graduating class. 3. Anna L. Britton Scholarship is available to the daughter or granddaughter of any BPW active members. Please note at the top of your application in bold prints that you are applying for the Anna L. Britton Scholarship and identify your mother or grandmother. 4. The application must be returned to your Guidance Counselor no later than Feburary 8, 2013 5. Each of the finalists are required to present a two to three minute speech about herself at the BPW Club meeting being held March 14, 2012. You will be contacted if you have been chosen as a finalist, so that you may prepare your speech. 6. All applications must include a copy of your high school transcripts, two (2) references, one from an educator and one from non-educator and who is not a relative. 7. A page or pages may be included for all your awards and honors received. 8. Scholarship money will be sent to the recipient’s educational institution.
