Based in Houston, Texas, FMC Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: FTI) engages in the design, manufacture, and servicing of machinery and systems for the energy, food processing, and air transportation industries. FMC Technologies makes a variety of equipment for airports, food processors, and offshore oil producers. It operates 32 manufacturing facilities in 17 countries. The firm traces its roots to Food Machinery Corporation, founded in the 1920s. FMC Corporation, as it became known in 1961, expanded into cargo-handling systems in the 1960s and subsea oil-production equipment in the 1980s. FMC Technologies was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of FMC Corporation in 2000. The company went public as an independent unit when FMC Corporation spun off its non-chemical businesses in 2001.

Energy Systems – subdivided into Energy Production and Energy Processing. It offers subsea drilling and production systems for the exploration and production of oil and natural gas. Other oil and gas products include fluid control, measurement, loading, and blending systems. FoodTech - engages in the design, manufacture, and servicing of food processing and handling systems used primarily for fruit juice production, frozen food production, shelf-stable food production, and convenience food preparation. Airport Systems - engages in the design, manufacture, and servicing of passenger boarding bridges, cargo loaders, and other ground support products and services primarily for commercial airlines, air freight companies, and airport authorities.

Finance, and Hoovers.com 16JAN2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) - FMC Technologies announced today that it has signed a contract with Woodside Energy Ltd. to supply subsea systems for the Vincent project, offshore Western Australia. The value of this contract is approximately $81 million in revenue. The initial scope for FMC Technologies includes the supply of 11 enhanced vertical subsea trees (EVXT), related control and tie-in systems, and two production manifolds. Manufacturing and delivery of this equipment will be fulfilled through FMC's facilities in Kongsberg, Norway and Singapore.
12DEC2006 - FMC Technologies Inc. has signed a contract with Shell Group Companies to supply subsea completion and processing systems for the BC-10 project, offshore Brazil. Houston-based FMC will supply 10 subsea trees rated for 10,000 psi, four subsea manifolds, six subsea boosting and separation systems and related subsea equipment. The subsea system will be engineered and manufactured at FMC Technologies' facility in Rio de Janeiro with deliveries slated for 2008. The BC-10 development will be the first full-field development based on subsea oil and gas separation and subsea pumping.
