1. This Addendum shall supersede all previously issued Contract Documents wherein it modifies same. All other conditions of the Contract remain unchanged. The following changes, additions, or deletions as set forth herein shall apply to the Contract Documents and shall be made a part thereof and shall be subject to all the requirements thereof as though originally shown and/or specified.

2. Bidders shall acknowledge receipt of this Addendum on Bid Form. Failure to do so may subject your response to disqualification.

5. CLARIFICATIONS:

Item 1 Toilet accessories will be furnished by the Owner to be installed by contractor.

Item 2 Contractor to provide new wall base to match existing at areas of removed or modified walls.

Item 3 All appliances are Owner Furnished Contractor Installed.

Item 4 All new cabinets, doors and drawers are to have locks.

6. REQUESTS FOR INFROMATION

1. Will the Office of Education provide permits, inspections, special inspection and testing? RESPONSE: This project is under DSA jurisdiction. The county will be responsible for costs associated with DSA approval.

2. Will the contractor have access to electric on site and not be charged? RESPONSE: Yes.

3. Are we doing the concrete curb at play structure? This is not in the job scope. If the GC is installing the curb, please provide depth of footing RESPONSE: The new concrete curb at the play structure is not part of this bid package.

4. Are we putting a concrete curb at the new window location as per detail 14 page A9.1? If so, please provide detail to anchor the curb to existing along with anchor bolt spacing RESPONSE: Yes. See Sketch AD1-A9.1b

5. Who is removing the play structure RESPONSE: The play structure demolition will be outside of this contract

6. Are we to demo the existing cyclone fence, the job scope only says to modify and put back if needed for access RESPONSE: There is only removal of fencing as part of this contract.

7. If we are to install a cyclone fence, then will the decoration fence contractor demo his own cyclone fence? RESPONSE: There is no new fencing as part of this contract

8. There is no plumbing, electrical of HVAC plans. Please specify if switches, lights, plugs, circuit for dishwasher, supplies, restrooms are being added or relocated RESPONSE: This equipment is added.

9. Please provide mane and model, etc. for plumbing sinks and faucets RESPONSE: See attached A1.1.

10. Please provide floor finishes for restroom A-11 and A-12 RESPONSE: See attached A6.1

11. Who is purchasing the dishwasher and refrigerator? If the GC is to buy these, please provide make and model RESPONSE: Dishwasher and refrigerator are owner furnished contractor installed.

12. Please provide more detail for ramp and landing. Such as height, picket spacing, type of material. If this is a metal ramp or manufactured by a brand company RESPONSE: See attached PC ramp drawings. Ramp will be owner furnished and contractor installed.

13. Please provide information on case work as to material of: formica, paint grade, pulls, etc. RESPONSE: See attached casework specification.

14. The existing cabinets are stain grade and your plans show laminate RESPONSE: Existing cabinets are to remain. Modifications to casework are to be laminate.

15. You are asking for $3million liability insurance for the GC and his subcontractors. This seems a lot for this project. Will $2million be acceptable? RESPONSE: The noted insurance requirements are consistent with SCCOE requirements and must be provided for as noted. There will be no change or exception to the requirement.

16. Are we to open existing walls to install backing and if so what happens to the existing wall finish if wallpaper is involved. Do we paint the entire wall, remove wallpaper, etc. Please specify how to handle the situation RESPONSE: Where walls are to be opened for backing, contractor is to patch holes at wall, remove wall paper from corner to corner and top to bottom and prep and paint wall.

17. Are the new blinds motorized? RESPONSE: No

18. What, if anything is to be done to the flooring in Portable restroom? RESPONSE: See attached A1.1 and A6.1

19. Are the restroom fixtures in the portable unit to remain in place or do they want new fixtures? RESPONSE: See attached A1.1

20. Does the portable unit need hot water and if so, what is the hot water source? RESPONSE: Provide 10 gal water heater. See A1.1
