Veterans Breakfast Club (Bristol, Abbeywood)

Royal British Legion Bristol have highlighted Free breakfast on offer - Tue 28 Jun 16 at 1000 AM at Frankie & Benny’s, Unit 7, Abbeywood Retail Park, Station Road, Bristol BS34 7JL.

Thereafter veterans breakfast club gathers on the last Tuesday of every month from 0900 to 1030 am for £5.00 per head with unlimited hot drinks.

Over the past year Veterans' Breakfast Clubs have been springing up across the country and have snowballed in the last 12 months expanding abroad as well. Clubs are for ex-service members to gather for breakfast with lots of coffee flowing and a chance for service banter, meeting old mates and finding new. For many once they leave the services and ‘the gate closes’ it is a struggle to fit into ‘civvy street’. The clubs have brought back the comradeship and the comradery. In many areas once a month has been simply not enough and they have also expanded to include special days for families and events.

Here in the City of Bristol there has not been a Club until now. The Royal British Legion has been delighted to work with Veterans Breakfast Clubs to set up the club and arrange veteran volunteers to run it and hope it will be a great success. The club is veterans for veterans. Please come and join us for the launch which will be kindly opened by Norman Bowler (Frank Tate from Emmerdale and Detective Chief Inspector Harry Hawkins in the TV series Softly, softly plus many others TV shows and films). Maybe this will be our ‘veterans cereal’?! For the launch the breakfast is FREE so if you have not tasted a Frankie & Benny’s breakfast you are in for a treat!! See menu above

The Breakfast Club will run after the launch on the last Tuesday of every month starting a 9.00am-10.30am, breakfasts costing £5 with unlimited hot drinks. .
