A RESOLUTION memorializing Frieda Jarrett Casebier. WHEREAS, Frieda Jarrett Casebier was a native daughter of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, born in Lyon County, and a long-time resident of Louisville; and WHEREAS, Frieda Jarrett Casebier was a valued employee of the General Electric Company for 27 years; and WHEREAS, Frieda Jarrett Casebier was an active attendee of the Crescent Hill Baptist Church, and a member of the Ormsby Heights Baptist Church; and WHEREAS, Frieda Jarrett Casebier executed the will of her political convictions and was very active with various levels of the Federation of Republican Women, wherein she held numerous leadership positions; and WHEREAS, Frieda Jarrett Casebier was a founding member of the SW Republican Women's Club, wherein she served as president; and WHEREAS, Frieda Jarrett Casebier was known to be a generous woman regarding her causes and beliefs; and WHEREAS, Frieda Jarrett Casebier was the loving and beloved wife of Earl Casebier, who preceded her in death, for 48 years; and WHEREAS, Frieda Jarrett Casebier was the loving and beloved mother of Lindy Casebier, who was an esteemed member of the Kentucky General Assembly, serving for a total of six terms in the Senate and the House of Representatives; and

WHEREAS, Frieda Jarrett Casebier was a loving and beloved sister and aunt; and WHEREAS, Frieda Jarrett Casebier departed this life on January 8, 2006; NOW, THEREFORE, Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky: Section 1. The Senate does hereby extend its most profound sense of sorrow and proffers its sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Frieda Jarrett Casebier on the occasion of her passing.

Section 2. The Senate seeks to affirm to Lindy Casebier, one of its former esteemed members, that his mother, Frieda Jarrett Casebier, contributed greatly to her community and that her manifold efforts will continue to resonate throughout her community and the Commonwealth of Kentucky for years yet to come. Section 3. The Clerk of the Senate is directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mr. Lindy Casebier, 2180 Emerson Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40205-2561.
