Minutes for Regular Meeting Tuesday, September 21, 2010

The Student Government Association of Mt. San Jacinto College met via video conferencing, commencing at 12:30p.m. on September 21, 2010 in Room 500-MVC, and Room 1111-SJC.

II. Information Items C. Staff Reports 1. Donna announced that Ana is serving jury duty. She passed around a contact list for the board to update if necessary. SJC BBQ 9/23 reminder. Discussed ideas for BBQ’s for the remainder of the semester. Reminder about CCCSAA conference. 10/28 SJC Bonfire. 10/23/-Celebrate America. Discussed ideas for a day and time for the leadership class for next semester.

A.g. Phi Theta Kappa A.g.i. Leadership Conference Attendance at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Irvine, CA 11/05- 11/07. Six officers will attend. Conference funded by other source than Club funds. A.g.ii. Volunteer Activity. Members will work at Race for the Cure on 10/17 as part of MSJC’s team. They will volunteer time to aid the Race and its purpose in any way needed. A.g.iii. Activity – E-Waste Recycling Event plus vegetarian BBQ to raise money for animal shelter – 10/28/2010 from 9:00 to 2:00 p.m. A.g.iv. Workshop: Honors in Action: Low Tech Challenge – speaker Jim Davis – on 10/21/10 at MVC.
