Hiking Trip to Adirondack State Park in New York Trip Itinerary Thursday May 22nd to Saturday May 24th

Day 1 – Thursday May 22nd, 2014

-3:00 pm – meet in SRB front foyer, load vehicles and leave at 3:30pm -4:30 pm – supper in Cornwall -6:30 pm – shop for ingredients for meals at Lake Placid grocery store -7:00 pm – arrive at Whispering Pines Campground and set up tents and tarps -9:00 pm – camp fire and snacks -10:00 pm – in tents and lights out

Day 2 - Friday May 23rd, 2013

-7:00 am – breakfast and clean up -8:00 am – pack lunch and day pack -9:00 am – hike Mt Marcy (22km, 3000ft vertical gain – difficult hike) -6:00 pm – supper -8:30 pm – campfire and snack -10:00 pm – lights out

Day 3 – Saturday May 24th, 2013

-7:00 am – breakfast and clean up -8:00 am – pack up and load vehicles -9:30 am – hike to Balancing Boulders, part way up Pitch Off Mt. (Easy hike) -11:30 am – leave for SRB -12:00 noon – lunch at Saranac Lake - 3:00 pm – arrive at SRB Day 1: Friday February 28th (SRB to Lac Philippe Group Campsite #4)

Time Location Activity 9:00 am SRB (lower foyer front doors) Review and final pack up of gear 9:30 am SRB (lower foyer front doors) Load vehicles 10:35 am Gatinuea Park Welcome Center Registration and purchase ski passes 11:05 am Arrive at Lac Philippe parking lot Unload bus #19 11:20 am Take trail 55 to campsite # 4 Depart for group campsite #4 1:00 pm Arrive at group campsite #4 Eat Lunch 1:45 pm Lesson on campsite selection/ set up camp 2:45 pm Trail 55 to Trail 50 to Trail 55 Cross Country Ski circuit: Trail 54 from (7 km circuit) 4:45 pm Group campsite #4 Arrive back at camp 5:00 pm Prepare supper and build campfire 6:30 pm Supper and clean up 7:00 pm Warm up hut Lesson on hypothermia 8:00 pm 45 min trek along trail 74 Snowshoeing lesson 9:00 pm Group campsite #4 Reflection session 10:00 pm Lights Out

Day 2: Saturday March 1st (Lac Philippe Group Campsite #4 to SRB)

Time Location Activity 7:30 am Group campsite #4 Wake up, prep breakfast and clean up 9:30 am Trail 55 to Lac Lusk using trail Snowshoe/hike to Graham’s Hill 54 (4 km there & back) or Ski to Lac Lusk 11:30 am Group campsite #4 Lunch and pack up 12:30 pm Take trail 55 to parking lot #19 Ski out 2:00 pm Bus pick up @ parking lot #19 Leave Gatineau Park 3:15 - SRB main entrance Arrive at SRB 3:30 pm
