Description: Sprague Neck is property of the U.S. Navy in Cutler. The Navy maintains a Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station, which comprises 3,000 acres on Sprague Neck Peninsula. Sprague Neck Bar is designated an Ecological Reserve and Watchable Wildlife Area allowing for easy access. Sprague Neck Bar is a long cobble bar vegetated predominantly by grasses. There is a large open area at the end of the bar with temporary and highly saline ponds. Both areas are primarily high tide roosts, with some feeding at other tides as well. Most numerous species from ISS data are: BBPL (120), SBDO (82), SEPL (199), and SESA (2,377).

Survey Method: Ground surveys the bar area at high tide.
