Rick Vitullo is assigned to the transportation team in Logistics and Product Supply. He Oversees Goodyear's Wingfoot dedicated transportation fleet that operates 193 tractors out of nine logistic centers in the U.S. and Canada.
Rick has more than 20 years of logistics and transportation management experience in both the military and the trucking industry. He worked for Roadway, Con-Way and most recently was the manager of Central Transport’s largest terminal located in Detroit, Michigan. For Con-Way he managed a 165- door crossdock terminal employing 150 drivers in Kansas City. He is a proven leader and managed all aspects of driver and fleet operations. This knowledge will be extremely useful in Goodyear’s future plans for making the Wingfoot fleet the standard service to our customers. In the Army Rick served as an officer in increasing capacities of responsibility. He was a Tank Platoon Leader, a Logistics Staff Officer and Instructor. As a Company Commander he deployed his unit to the Persian Gulf for Operation Desert Storm.
Rick was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and grew up in Stow. He attended Walsh Jesuit High School and graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/ Marketing. Rick has lived all over the world. Army duty stations include Fort Benning, Georgia; Coronado, California; and Camp Casey Korea. He has also lived in Indiana, Virginia, Michigan, Kentucky and Kansas. He always considered Akron his home and is a die-hard fan of the Browns, Indians and Cavs.
Rick is married to Elizabeth Conte-Vitullo from Copley, Ohio. She is also a graduate of Akron. She teaches Religion at Saint Mary Grade School in Akron. Their son, Joseph is in 5th grade at Saint Hilary.
