HYBRID ENGINE START CHART

Vehicle Make Engine Start Procedure Toyota/Lexus Step 1- Turn ignition to ON (NOT READY) Step 2-While in PARK, press accelerator 2 times Step 3-Press and hold brake pedal, shift to Neutral. Step 4-While in NEUTRAL, press accelerator pedal 2 times Step 5-Shift to PARK, while in PARK, depress accelerator pedal 2 times Step 6- Turn READY-ON Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Step 1-Apply parking brake and place gear selector in PARK Step 2-Switch ignition switch to ON Step 3-Within 5 seconds, fully depress accelerator pedal and hold for 10 seconds Step 4-Within 5 seconds, release accelerator pedal and shift into the DRIVE position and fully depress accelerator pedal. Step 5- Hold accelerator pedal down for 10 seconds. Step 6-Release accelerator pedal and shift into the PARK position Step 7- MAL will flash if procedure was successful. Step 8- ICE can now be started. Step 9- Exit by: 1-Shift into any other gear or, 2- Turn ignition to OFF

Honda/Acura Step 1- Set parking brake Step 2-Turn ignition off Step 3-Turn ignition on two times with foot off the brake pedal Step 4-With the shift lever in park, depress the accelerator pedal two times to the floor Step 5-Depress the brake pedal and move the gear selector to neutral Step 6- Depress the accelerator pedal to the floor two times Step 7- Move the shift lever to park Step 8- Depress the accelerator pedal to the floor two times Step 9- Depress the brake pedal and push the start button. The engine will start in the maintenance mode. To exit the maintenance mode, turn off the engine. Chevrolet/GMC Truck Step 1-Open the hood (PHT or 2-Mode) Step 2-Start the engine The engine will remain running until it is turned off as long as the hood is open. Buick, Chevrolet, Saturn Allow the ICE to idle when the engine is normal operating temperature for 2 (BAS system) minutes. Idle stop is disabled Nissan Altima Step 1-Press the power button twice to turn on the ignition Step 2-Place Trans in “P” fully depress the accelerator pedal twice Step 3-Place Trans in “N” fully depress the accelerator pedal twice Step 4-Place Trans in “P” fully depress the accelerator pedal twice Step 5-Start engine. Idle stop is disabled
