SCHEDULE Monday –Friday 11:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Sunday 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
PURPOSE
Clover House allows families whose children are in foster home placements under the Supervision of the Department of Family and Children’s Services to visit with each other in a comfortable and professional setting. Neither Clover House staff nor the foster parents are involved in making any decisions regarding the legal proceedings the families are involved in. The foster parents’ job is to take care for your child’s physical, emotional, and medical needs while the child is in their home. Clover House staff will supervise the visits and write a visitation report on the interaction between family members.
APPROVAL
All visits must be approved by the social worker prior to their starting point. Only people (including children) who have been approved in advance will be allowed to participate in the visits. There is a maximum capacity of 7 persons per room at any given time. Clover House staff will have a list of authorized visitors. All visitors must have proper identification while on the premises and will be issued a visitors’ pass upon arrival. Only visitors that have been authorized by the social worker in advance will be able to participate in the visits.
CANCELLATIONS
All visits are made by appointment. If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, it is extremely important that you inform your social worker and Clover House in advance. In the case of last minute delays or emergencies, please call Clover House directly. Failure to keep regularly appointed visits could jeopardize future visits with your child. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the visit will automatically be cancelled. If you cancel/miss 3 consecutive appointments, your SW will need to try to set up new appointments before visits at Clover House can resume.
BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS
We hope to provide families with an environment that will encourage family reunification. Toys, games and books will be provided for your use. We encourage you to bring food to the visits. Nutritious food is preferred. If you have any questions or need further assistance during your visit, please feel free to ask Clover House staff to assist you.
