EWC4U - Stage Play Assignment

For our script writing mini-unit, you will be preparing a single scene of a stage play. Your scene must include at least three (3) characters and should only include one set. Your characters can come and go as you please and monologues are permitted as you wish. Your scene can be taken from the beginning of a larger work or from any point in a play without requiring back story or other explanation.

Basic requirements:

 1 scene (approximately 3 pages or 40 lines)

 3 characters minimum

 1 set only

 any subject matter

 rely on stage direction, dialogue and character interaction to propel conflict
