Sun Alliance Insurance (China) Limited Additional Trip Curtailment Insurance Policy Wording

(The English translation is for reference only. In case of any discrepancies, the Chinese version shall prevail.)

General Provisions Article 1 This Additional Contract is attached to the Main Contract with the Insurer’s consent. The gen eral provisions of the Main Contract are also applied to this Additional Contract. If any provis ion contained in this Additional Contract is inconsistent with or in contravention of any provis ion in the Main Contract, the Additional Contract shall prevail. If the Additional Contract and the Main Contract are applied for at the same time, the effectiv e date of the Additional Contract will be the same as Main Contract. If this Additional Contract is applied for during the period of insurance of the Main Contract, t his Additional Contract will be effective once Insured pays the due premium and Insurer agre es to accept it. This Additional Contract will terminate automatically under the following conditions: 1) The Main Contract terminates; 2) The Applicant notifies the Insurer to terminate this Additional C ontract in writing. Coverage Article 2 Insured can claim for the loss of any pre-paid, unused and non refundable travel fare incurred as a result of his/her cutting short his/her Trip during the Period of Insurance because: 1 Insured is unable to complete his/her intended Trip while his/her ticket or tour is still valid because he/she or a Special Person suffers Injury or Severe Illness which necessitates their Confinement and a Medical Practitioner has certified in writing that Insured or a Special Person is unfit to continue Trip; or 2 Insured has to return to his/her usual place of residence because of the unexpected death, sudden serious Injury or Severe Sickness of a Special Person which necessitates their Confinement in their usual place of residence; or 3 Scheduled Common Carrier services are cancelled or curtailed due to strikes, riot or civil commotion, hijack, natural disaster or severe weather conditions and there was no prior warning of these events; or 4 Insured’s passports or travel documents were stolen.

Exclusions Article 3 The General Exclusions in the Main Contract are also suitable for this Additional Contract. If the Main Contract has any conflict with the Exclusions of this Additional Contract, the Additional Contract shall prevail. Insurer will not pay if Insured’s Trip is curtailed because:

1 1 Insured change mind about continuing Trip; or 2 Of the negligence or fault of the travel agent; or 3 Insured is aware of any circumstances which could lead to possible curtailment of Trip prior to booking hotel, transportation or incurring any other expenses, including but not limited to any announced or occurred strike or other labor protest, and existing or forecasted natural disasters or announced outbreak of epidemic disease. 4 Any Pre-existing Sickness or complications thereof;

Insurance Benefit Application and Payment Article 4 The insurance benefit applicant, when applying for payment of insurance benefit, shall submit the following materials. If the insurance benefit applicant is unable to provide the following m aterials due to any special reason, he shall provide other legal and effective materials. If the in surance benefit applicant fails to provide the relevant materials, making the Insurer unable to verify the authenticity of the application, the Insurer shall not be liable for payment of the ins urance benefit to the extent of the portion that is unable to be verified. 1 a fully completed claim form

3 travel document 4 certification and proof of the insurance accident which leads to the trip curtailment 5 proof for extra cost or any pre-paid, unused and non refundable travel fare 6 identification certificate of the benefit applicant 7 other proof and documents that can help identify the character, cause and the loss of the insurance incident, as far as the claimant can provide

8 Authorization paper and identification papers of the client and the agent, if an agent is applied by the claimant Definition

1. Pre-existing Sickness shall mean 1) Insured has suffered from the tonsils, glandular swelling, hernia or female genital diseases, which cause an ordinarily prudent person to seek diagnosis, care, or treatment preceding the effective date of the Policy; 2) or a condition for which medical advice or treatment(excluding the tonsils, glandular swelling, hernia or female genital diseases) was recommended by a physician or received from a physician within 12 months preceding the effective date of the Policy. 2. Common Carrier: train, tram or rail train, ship, any air flight duly licensed for the regular transportation of fare-paying passengers taken by the Insured Person with valid ticket. (End of page)
