You and your group must make a presentation to a career seeker who is interested in careers in the IT field but knows little about this field. Design a brochure that you can distribute to interested people like this career seeker.

Criteria for success:

 Careers are overviewed and accurately described  Sample salaries are given  Necessary training is clearly and accurately described  An idea of what a person can do after getting a few years of experience is discussed  Language is appropriate for the intended audience, in this case a non-technical audience  Language is accurate (spell checked and grammatically correct)  You must provide citations for where you got your facts—make sure you cite the websites and other resources that you use

Information Technology Association of America-- www.itaa.org -- occupational demand

Computer World online magazine -- www.computerworld.com -- salary surveys, occupational descriptions, certification discussion

Tech Republic -- www.techrepublic.com -- professional shop-talk. Take a look at the e- newsletters. There is one particularly on certification that will help you stay up to date on what’s happening in the world of certification.

America’s Career Info Net -- http://www.acinet.org/acinet/. Overviews of IT jobs and required skills
