Hey Mandy Whats up Kendra? So what do you think about this PBIS General Salute stuff? I was so busy finding my way to my classes that I don’t remember too much. It’s easy! Our school wants to recognize students who are consistently doing the right things in school. Just remember to be PREPARED, RESPECTFUL and RESPONSIBLE and you could earn stars from any adult in the school. I got one yesterday when I asked Ms. Waraksa if I could pass out the agenda books for her in Homeroom. Well, what do you do with the stars? You will see boxes that you place them in when you go to lunch. There will be raffles for cool prizes all year long. So, what you are saying is, the MORE times I am prepared, respectful and responsible, the more chances I will have of winning a prize? Yep, I believe that’s a math term called probability. What will the prizes be? Well, its just getting started, but the prizes will be different all year long. I heard a rumor that there are HUGE prizes at the end of the quarter, like for Ipods, digital cameras, or dvd players. And soon, we will be able to turn in our stars at the General’s school store for footballs, basketballs, school supplies, and even lava lamps and dance tickets! That’s pretty cool- kind of like choosing how we want to spend our stars. You got it- all right Kendra I have to go- Ms. Culler is starting class and I don’t want to ruin my chances of getting some stars today.
