What worked well in your lesson? The students loved the game where they had to find the person or people that had the card that correctly matched their card to form possessive nouns! They also really enjoyed getting to use the 3M machine to add the correct ending to the nouns to make them possessive. I really liked being able to use technology and a game in this lesson; it makes learning a lot more fun for the students!
What modifications did you make in your instruction for varying abilities of students based on your formative assessments? I gave more assistance to those who needed it while working independently on the possessive nouns worksheets.
What follow-up instruction related to your objectives is needed either for remediation or extension?
The students will take a test over possessive nouns soon after my lesson. The students who do not meet the objective after taking the test will be able to work on this subject further in a small group.
What would you still like to learn that might help you to better meet the diverse needs of your students?
I would still like to learn how to better work with students who need more one-on-one small group time, and I would always like to know more ways to better teach them at a level they will comprehend.
