[963] 2 1 editor of The South Carolinian, an AfricanAmerican literacy 2 newspaper, and was a board member of the Hitchcock 3 Rehabilitation Center in Aiken; and 4 5 Whereas, when she moved to Pittsburg ten years ago, she 6 continued her civic involvement as a board member of the 7 Monroeville Chamber of Commerce, the YWCA of Westmoreland 8 County, and the Three Rivers Foundation; and 9 10 Whereas, she currently serves as a member of Petra International 11 Ministries and on the advisory board of the Community College of 12 Allegheny County; and 13 14 Whereas, together with her beloved husband, Glenn, she reared 15 four fine children who have blessed them with six adoring 16 grandchildren; and 17 18 Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are grateful 19 for the commitment that Joann Loveless has demonstrated to her 20 community and wish her continued success as the twentysecond 21 international grand basileus of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. 22 Now, therefore, 23 24 Be it resolved by the Senate: 25 26 That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, 27 recognize and honor the accomplishments of Joann Loveless, and 28 congratulate her upon her reelection as Grand Basileus of Sigma 29 Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. 30 31 Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be provided to 32 Joann Loveless. 33 XX 34
