(Failing one or more of these sections will result in an automatic failing grade for the documented essay. The documented essay must be passed with a 60% or better by the end of the school year in order to earn the English II credit. If you do not pass the documented essay with the initial grading, you should plan on attending intersession over spring break and/or to attend ESS on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school to improve the paper as necessary. It is your responsibility to improve the paper to passing prior to final exams in May, or you will fail English II regardless of your numerical average.)
