INTRODUCTION OF PLATFORM FOR AGRICULTURAL POLICY ANALYSIS AND COODINATION (PAPAC) TEAM AND THE ADVISORY BOARD DURING THE LAUCHING CEREMONY OF PAPAC HELD AT THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE FOOD SECURITY AND COOPERATIVE ON 26TH FEBRUARY, 2015

Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen,

Let me take this opportunity to thank the DPS-MAFC for Launching PAPAC todayso that it can start officially to execute its duty as pointed out in his speech. Thank you all stakeholders for being here to witness this important event in our lifetime. PAPAC’sday to day activities will be run by a team of experts lead by a Policy Analyst and Coordinator, Assistant Policy Analyst and an Administrative Secretary/Accountant. This team will be guided by an Advisory committee and is expected to work closely with Policy Analysts in the ASLMs, Monitoring and Evaluation Thematic Working Group, research and policy institutions, universities, private sector and non- state actors while networking with all stakeholders in the agricultural sector. With these few words, please allow me now to introduce the PAPAC team as follows:

1. Dr. Sophia Mlote- PAPAC Policy Analyst and Coordinator, 2. Mr. Prudence Lugendo- Assistant Policy Analyst, 3. Ms. Joy Mzava- Administrative Assistant, and Accountant

The Advisory Committee (AC) will be chaired by the Director of Policy and Planning of the Ministry of Agriculture Food Security and Cooperatives. It will be composed of members from Agriculture Sector Lead Ministries (ASLMs), Non – State Actors and Development Partners (DP). The Coordinator will be the secretary of the advisory committee. It will have the roles of Governance (guidance and oversight),channeling knowledge and recommendations to policy the making processes and stakeholder analytical requirements to PAPAC network. Allow me now to introduce the Advisory Committee members before you as follows:-
