OBJECTIVES Students will review how to balance chemical equations. ACTIVITIES Before: Review 2nd Nine Weeks Test scores. Lesson: (RETEACH) Balancing Chemical Equations powerpoint notes. After: “I Do, You Do, We Do – Balancing Chemical Equations problems. RESOURCES Computer, PowerPoint, TV, LCD Projector, Textbook ASSESSMENT: Nine weeks test scores, practice problems Homework: Correctly complete 5 BEGINNER practice problems.

OBJECTIVES Students will learn how to identify the types of reactions ACTIVITIES Before: Quickwrite – List the steps to balancing chemical equations Lesson: (RETEACH) Identifying Chemical Equations powerpoint notes. After: “Parking Lot” – Identify examples of chemical reactions. RESOURCES Computer, PowerPoint, TV, LCD Projector, Textbook ASSESSMENT: parking lot activity Homework: Correctly complete 5 INTERMEDIATE practice problems. Identify them as synthesis, decomposition, combustion, single replacement, or double replacement.
