Intro to ASTD and ISPI

Intro to ASTD and ISPI I like this paragraph best. Why don’t we American Society for Training and lead with this? Then follow up with your Development (ASTD) and International intro? Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) both have active chapters in San Check out the ASTD San Diego web site Diego. at http://www.astdsandiego.org/. To view the local ISPI web site go to The local ASTD chapter was started in http://www.ispisandiego.org/. 1947 and currently has over 400 members. The San Diego chapter of ISPI John W. Shaffer was started 25 years ago, in part, by our What about something like when the own Dr. Allison Rossett. meetings are? She doesn’t want to get plugged more than the other professors. When I used Where do they meet? her for the Macromedia thing she told me to be sure to highlight other What events are free? professors. Don’t let her personality How much are dues? Student rate? fool you, she’s quite humble.

Both of these organizations offer many opportunities to:  learn from others in the training and performance field,  explain who is in this field. For people in their first EdTec class, this is still new.

 share what you are learning in your studies at SDSU, and  gain experience in a leadership role in a business/organizational setting.  I have a contact number for ISPI that we can put in here. Talk to “mary” or whoever it is. Robin martin volunteered to work on a database project for them. He’s got all the info.

Perhaps one of the greatest benefits is the chance to network with key members of the San Diego training and performance improvement community.
