Game Rules and Safety

Scoring: Teams of 4 play 12 ends using 2 bowls per player. Note: If the jack goes out of bounds it is to be replaced on the tee and the end continued. The first 3 bowls closest to the jack will count with 3 points for the closest, 2 points for the second closest and 1 point for the next closest bowl. The winning team on each rink will receive 2 points and a draw 1 points each. If a team cannot play on the night they will receive 0 points and their opponent 2points. In the event of a draw at the end of the eight rounds, the winner will be decided on percentage. All active pennant players utilised will attract a handicap of 4 points/game for their team. General Rules  There is a limit of (2) pennant players in a team and they cannot act as skipper.  To prevent forfeits if you nominate please make every endeavour to compete each week.  Teams may use subs if team members are not available on the night. See the co-ordinator who will help in filling the gaps.  There is a cost of $20 per team per night to cover green fees and includes a beef roll.  Bowls must not be dropped on the green surface.  Players are to wear neat dress, flat shoes with no heels or bare feet.  Bowls provided by the Club.  No driving permitted in the interests of safety.  No BYO permitted on licensed premises.
