The Freshman Entry Pathway is a program that alters the admission practices of the School of Nursing to permit selective, highly qualified group of first time freshman to CSU to be admitted as freshman level students into the nursing major.  Freshman must apply to Cleveland State University School of Nursing Application.  A minimum of 3.0 GPA with grades B or better in biology and chemistry is required.  13 core units of college preparatory classes, including biology with lab, chemistry with lab.  A student needs a scores of 20 or above on ACT; 950 above on SAT.

DENISON UNIVERISITY Paschal Carter Scholarship

Amount: Full tuition for all 4 years and a Stipend of $2,000 a year and a $3,000 fellowship for one of the four years.

Eligibility: National Merit Finalist and applied and accepted at Denison.

ITHACA COLLEGE Ithaca, NY. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. SCHOLAR

Amount: Minimum merit-based scholarship of $18,000 but up to full tuition.

Eligibility: Need to meet admission requirements for Ithaca and have Leadership and services experience.

LORAIN COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE Computer and Engineering Scholarship

Amount: Full tuition

Eligibility: 3.21 and 24 ACT or 3.00 and 25 ACT, 4 years of H.S. math including Trig. Planning on going on going on to Univ. of Toledo to finish your degree and able to get into Calculus at LCCC.

NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR COOPERATIVE EDUCATION

Amount: A total of 170 merit scholarships of $6,000.

Eligibility: The 8 NCCE Partner Colleges are Drexel, Johnson and Wales, Kettering, Pace, RIT, University of Cincinnati, University of Toledo and Wentworth Institute of Technology.

CIA Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Purpose: Encourage students to pursue careers with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Eligibility: Applicants must:

 Be high school senior or college sophomores. High school students must have an SAT score of 1,000 or higher or an ACT score of 21 or higher, while all applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.0.  Demonstrate financial need.  Commit to a work experience each summer during college and agree to CIA employment for 1.5 times the length of their CIA-sponsored scholarship.  Additional requirements apply.

Big 33 scholarships provide financial assistance to high school seniors who exhibit excellence in a well- rounded educational and extracurricular program. TFS website contains the world’s largest scholarship database. New scholarships are added daily. The website contains detailed college and career information including athletic scholarships, personality tests and career aptitude tests. It also contains information about college degree programs that can be earned entirely online as well as online courses for students seeking a career or trade that doesn’t require a college degree. KIWANIS CLUB OF WESTSHORE CHARLES WINNING SCHOLARSHIP Lakewood, Ohio

Amount: $1,000 in scholarships to be awarded at the beginning of the freshman year in college.

Eligibility: Unmarried male graduating from a high school in Lakewood, Ohio with no legal obligations from a previous marriage; age 17 prior to July 1 of his graduating year, and not over 21.This Student must have a major educational interest in humanities, study of government, foreign languages, civil affairs, public relations, or closely related fields and have a sincere interest to pursue his college curriculum with a major in one or more such fields; intend to enter a four-year college or university to obtain a Bachelor of Arts or Science degree. Scholarship applicants will be judged on: leadership potential; community service, and scholastic ability.

OAPSE/AFSCME SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION PROGRAMS: Memorial Sch. OHIO ASSOCIATION OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS EMPLOYEES

Amount: Four scholarships of $1,500 each are awarded.

Eligibility: A graduating high school senior. Parent must be a member of the OAPSE/AFSCME.

Union Plus Sch. Amount: Awards range from $500 - $4,000 one time cash award.

Eligibility: Current and retired members of our union, their spouses, and their dependent children are eligible. Open to students attending or planning to attend an accredited college or university, a community college or a recognized technical or trade school. Graduate students can also apply.

Amount: Ten (10) scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded.

COMMON KNOWLEDGE SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION FBI Scholarship

Amount: Awards are $500.

Eligibility: Must have a school in your system that participates in FBI-SOS which Harding does.

Purpose: To assist students who are committed to pursuing a bachelor's degree and have demonstrated integrity, financial need, academic achievement, and community involvement. This program offers scholarships around the country, based on states.

JOHN H. MCCONNELL SCHOLARSHIP FUND The Columbus Blue Jackets Foundation has partnered with Blue Jackets players to establish this fund. Mr. Mac was an honorable man who believed in the golden rule, “Treat others as you want to be treated.” Mr. McConnell was an enormously successful businessman. He had a true passion for supporting the development of youth in the community. This scholarship is based on hard work, perseverance, leadership and community involvement.

Amount: One scholarship of $10,000 each. This scholarship is for all Ohio Schools.

Eligibility: Planning to attend a two or four year college or university upon graduation. Have a commitment to serve their family, school, and community. Possess leadership qualities and a strong work ethic. Leads by example Have a passion for improving others lives through their own means, abilities, and life.
