On-the-Job-Training Program (OJT)

The California Department of Transportation is committed to promoting the establishment of apprenticeship and training programs that target under-represented segments of the U.S. workforce, including veterans, minorities, women, and disadvantaged individuals. The On-the-Job Training Program objective is to increase the pool of qualified veterans, minorities, women and disadvantaged individuals in the highway construction industry by promoting the development and enhancement of job training and apprenticeship programs using Federal assisted funds as authorized by 23 U.S.C. 140(b), for the provision of supportive services in support of training programs approved under 23 CFR 230A.
