1. Chair’s Annual Report This was delivered to the meeting by the Chair and included a brief financial report. The text is published in the Winter 2016 edition of Wynyard Matters and is available on the village website; www. wynyardmatters.org
Finance: The Wynyard Matters magazine barely broke even, WRA need to find more advertisers, any suggestions to The Chair direct or through the website contact us page.
2. Election of Committee and Officers for 2017 Chair Kit Lofthouse Secretary Kelly Flockett Treasurer Diane Atkins Committee Members: Angela Conning, Sue Nicholson, Les Atkins (Web Master), Gordon Robson, Brian Wilde. 2 vacancies remain. Nominations to the next meeting please. Action ALL
3. Matters Arising TVRCC report from Janice McColm, Senior Rural Development Officer for Tees Valley. Janice outlined the content of the two events held at Wynyard Primary School this year. Also it is difficult to organise any coffee mornings or other regular community events in Wynyard due to a lack of venue. However, residents would be welcome at the coffee mornings held in Stillington and also other events including a belly dancing group set up there. Contact Janice direct for further information email: [email protected] Funding for health development runs out at the end of March 2017 and is likely not to be renewed. Janice asked what Wynyard wants her to do for us before the budget expires. Janice will still be available for advice and help with community health events, but will have no financial support for them. She will remain the village halls advisor and Brian Wake is the TVRCC village halls advisor and is contactable through Janice and will be contacted re the village hall development in Wynyard. Action KL Wynyard Primary School are forming a Friends of the School group. TVRCC gave £60 towards costs of joining the PTA association. Anyone interested in being a friend, please contact the primary school direct.

Grindon Parish Council meeting December 2016 put forward a proposal for a defibrilator to be located in Wynyard. WRA voted this down as there is no suitable location to place this. GPC were thanked for there consideration.
4. Newsletter 15th December deadline for Winter issue ready for delivery end December. Post meeting note: All delivered to distributors now. Article on WEXIT explaining a vote will take place by return post. Action KL
5. Events Carol Singing: Sunday 18th December outside The Stables public house, 1800 to 1900 with refreshments at half time. Raised £324.46 for the Great North Air Ambulance.
Bake Sale 2017 – Charity to be nominated by residents. Notice posted on the home page to send nomination through a contact us link. Suggestions at the meeting were: Daisy Chain, Guide Dogs, RNLI, hearing dogs

8. Community Centre A meeting was held with Elwick PC chair and clerk, GPC chair and clerk and WRA chair and secretary. It was agreed that Elwick PC needed to focus some attention and funding on the parts of Wynyard that are in Elwick. Grindon Parish will put up 70% of the funding required to obtain outline planning permission for the Wynyard community hall IF Elwick PC agree to put up 30%. Diane Atkins is not able to attend the next Elwick parish council meeting on 30th January. Kelly Flockett has agreed to attend. Action Kelly Flockett
9. AOB WEXIT Approximately 450 signatures were sent in to Stockton Borough Council. They will leaflet all the homes in the Grindon part of Wynyard .
Crime figures in Wynyard Crime in Wynyard is low but rising. Crime and ASB figures are to be reported on in WRA meetings via Brian Wilde who has access to them. Action B Wilde Lynne Williams gets the Cleveland Police cyber crime bulletin. To pass on to Kelly Flockett (Secretary, WRA) for future meetings. Action LW/KF
